Founded in 1985 and long one of the most important hard-court events outside the Slams, the Miami Open moved in 2019 to the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL's Dolphins, with courts built around and inside the stadium bowl. It pairs with Indian Wells as the "Sunshine Double."
